Wildlife & Nature Safari – 12 Days

Arrive in Sri Lanka and rest in Negombo. Evening lagoon boat ride or relax by the beach.

Day 1 – Arrival in Negombo

Drive north to Wilpattu, Sri Lanka’s largest national park. Afternoon jeep safari where leopards, sloth bears, and spotted deer roam. Overnight near the park.

Day 2 – Negombo → Wilpattu National Park

Spend the day exploring Wilpattu’s vast wilderness of lakes, scrub jungles, and grasslands. A paradise for birdwatchers and big game enthusiasts.

Day 3 – Full Day Wilpattu Safari

Morning drive to the Cultural Triangle. Stop at Anuradhapura for a glimpse of ancient ruins and massive stupas. Continue to Sigiriya.

Day 4 – Wilpattu → Sigiriya (via Anuradhapura)

Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the morning. Afternoon safari in Minneriya National Park, famous for “The Gathering” of wild elephants.

Day 5 – Sigiriya & Minneriya Safari

Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, then head to Kandy. Evening visit to the Temple of the Tooth and cultural dance show.

Day 6 – Sigiriya → Kandy (via Dambulla)

Drive through tea country. En route, stop at Ramboda Falls and a tea factory. Evening stroll around Gregory Lake.

Day 7 – Kandy → Nuwara Eliya

Morning safari-style trek in Horton Plains National Park to see World’s End and Baker’s Falls. Afternoon leisure in the misty hill station.

Day 8 – Nuwara Eliya → Horton Plains

Drive south to Udawalawe, Sri Lanka’s best park for elephant spotting. Evening safari to watch herds gather around the reservoir.

Day 9 – Nuwara Eliya → Udawalawe

Visit the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe (a sanctuary for orphaned elephants) before heading to Yala. Evening leisure at your safari lodge.

Day 10 – Udawalawe → Yala National Park

Morning safari in Yala National Park, the world’s top spot for leopards. Afternoon transfer to nearby Tangalle or Mirissa to relax by the beach.

Day 12 – Whale Watching & Departure

Early morning whale watching in Mirissa (seasonal) to spot blue whales and dolphins. Transfer to Colombo for departure.

Day 13 – Adam’s Peak → Udawalawe

Head south to Udawalawe. Evening safari to spot elephants in their natural habitat.

Day 14 – Yala National Park Safar

Transfer to Yala and embark on a safari. Keep your eyes peeled for leopards, sloth bears, and exotic birdlife.

Unwind in Mirissa. Swim, snorkel, or just relax on golden beaches with stunning sunsets.
